Part of our ‘Ong Lai’ series for the Lunar New Year, our crocheted kokedama makes a great gift for anyone looking for something a little different in plant gifts. The Gonialoe variegata, also known as Tiger Aloe, is easy to care for. Start by placing it near a bright window with some indirect sunlight, and water it just once in 7 days. Submerge 1/3 of the ball in water and remove after 1 minute. It is slow-growing, so you can keep it as a “pineapple” for quite awhile. It is grown here in a crocheted kokedama – a ‘living pot’ of well-draining soil that is encased in a crocheted pouch lined with coconut fibre.
Each plant is unique and will differ from image shown.
