Vrisea splendens “Flaming Sword”, kokedama

Native to the rainforests of Venezuela and Guyana, Vrisea splendens, or the “Flaming Sword” bromeliad has deep purple/brown horizontal bands running across green foliage. The plant has a rosette of leaves that naturally cups water in its ‘central tank'(centre of plant’. It is good to leave a little water in the tank to keep the plant hydrated, but do remember to flush out and replace with fresh water each time you water it. Prefers indirect sunlight. Direct sun would scorch the leaves. Comes with base.
