With its beautiful antler-like fronds, P. bifurcatum or staghorn fern makes for an impressive house plant. It is not difficult to keep, and once you get the hang of it, you’ll catch the staghorn bug and will want to collect the other species. As they are epiphytic, they do not have a lot of roots and are perfect for mounting. The young staghorn fern will eventually grow their shield fronds over the sphagnum moss giving you a stunning mounted plant with antler foliage growing out of it.
