Polyscias fruticosa variegata bonsai, or variegated Ming Aralia bonsai, is a good starter miniature tree if you are new to keeping plants. It requires minimal care, and will be happy to sit at a bright window, offering indirect sunlight. Water deeply every 4 to 5 days.
